Coastal Hospice & Palliative Care
Founded in 1980, Coastal Hospice is a private non-profit community program that provides traditional hospice services, palliative care and bereavement support to residents in Wicomico, Worcester, Dorchester, and Somerset Counties on Maryland’s Lower Eastern Shore. Together, more than 170 employees and more than 250 volunteers deliver care and support the work and mission of Coastal Hospice & Palliative Care.

Back in 1971, the beginning saw Ames Plaza Drugs being a 16 foot wide store totaling less than 500 sq ft with 5 employees to what has grown to a 20,000 sq ft building that hosts almost 100 co-workers. In April 1992 we changed our name to Apple Discount Drugs as Ames Department store closed and we needed a new identity. That same year we expanded to create Apple Infusion to satisfy the growing needs of the community. In 1998 we sold Apple Institutional Services which was originally housed in our existing billing office. We moved them down the street before their eventual sale to Omnicare. The sale brought the retirement of our founder and mentor Len Winkleman.
We were approached by the Snow Hill town commissioners to open a store in their town, so in May 1999 Snow Hill Pharmacy opened and continues to operate today as a mainstay in Snow Hill.
Phirst Physical Therapy
Phirst Physical Therapy is a local, therapist-owned practice focused not only on patient wellness but also patient education. Treating pain, and injuries and providing post-op rehab takes more than treatment plans. It takes individual attention and patient education. For our athletes and weekend warriors, we have you covered as well. We’re your go-to for bumps, bruises, and pains after training, games, and activities.
Willow Street Wellness & Neurofeedback
This center is dedicated to enhancing individuals' mental and physical well-being through neurofeedback and biofeedback services. Their offerings range from optimizing performance in academics, sports, and the arts, to improving stress resilience and emotional regulation. They also address cognitive control, attention, and impulsivity challenges.
In addition to personalized training sessions, Willow Street Wellness and Neurofeedback provides educational presentations and group learning opportunities on topics such as mindfulness, meditation, and stress management. The center also features an art gallery, "The Snow Hill Zoo," showcasing community art with themes of exotic animals and wellness. This unique combination of services aims to create an accessible, affordable, and community-oriented approach to wellness.
