Meet Maureen Cody, Account Executive, Avery Hall Insurance Group Maureen Cody is an account executive for the commercial lines department and provides services to personal insurance lines. She joined Avery Hall in 2009 as an account manager with more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry and was promoted to her current position in 2013. Maureen works out of the Salisbury office. She specializes in working with business owners and local farmers to determine their insurance needs. Maureen is born and raised on Delmarva as she was born on Virginia’s Eastern Shore in Nassawadox, VA but now resides in Snow Hill, MD. She studied business at the Eastern Shore Community College in Melfa, VA. She is actively involved in the community: Relay for Life, the Alzheimer’s Association Walk Committee, Board of the Snow Hill Chamber of Commerce, member The Soroptimist International of Salisbury as well as The Delmar Chamber of Commerce. In her free time, Maureen enjoys long walks, bike rides, and spending time on the playground with her grandchildren. She and her husband, Steve, have been married for 31 years and together they have two grown daughters and three grandchildren. DelVecchio’s Grand Opening and Ribbon CuttingThe Chamber of Commerce held a Ribbon Cutting at 5:30PM, Friday, September 6, welcoming DelVecchio’s Bakery Cafe to Snow Hill. Hurricane Dorian didn’t get in the way of this celebration; the skies cleared up just in time for several members of the community to join in the festivities! Council-Women Melisa Weidner, Alison Gadoua and LaToya Purnell were also in attendance. Welcome to Snow Hill! Your bakery will be a fantastic addition to our quaint town! |

Worcester Goes PurpleWorcester Goes Purple (WGP) has secured grant funding from the Worcester County Arts Council to install an art rock river, using hundreds of rocks that community members will paint purple at several upcoming events across the county. The community is invited to paint these rocks in honor of those who have died from an overdose or are struggling with addiction. Click here for more information |
